Air ambulance called after crash near Market Drayton

An air ambulance and four fire crews were called after an SUV came off the road near Market Drayton.

One man and one woman had to be cut out of their car after the incident, which happened at about 5pm today.

Four fire crews were sent from Hodnet, Market Drayton and Wellington. A land ambulance and police were also in attendance. The area was safe by 6.10pm.

Neil Griffiths, group manager of Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service, said the different agencies had worked well together.

"All casualties accounted for," he tweeted. "Good multi agency work to reach a successful outcome."
