The Kaleidoscope Saxophone Quartet, comprising Sally MacTaggart, Guy Passey, Jenni Watson and Alastair Penman, are to hold a recital at the Festival Drayton Centre on Sunday, January 26.

They will play arrangements by Bach, Debussy and Dvorak, as well as contemporary piece written specially for them.

Miss MacTaggart has played in West End theatres, Mr Passey plays in folk and rock groups, Miss Watson has had her work featured on BBC Radio 3 and Mr Penman has played in classical and ballet orchestras.

Jan Passmore, a volunteer at the community-run Festival Drayton Centre, said: "We’re very excited to have such an unusual chamber ensemble play for us.

"These four musicians are individually highly skilled instrumentalists. Together they’re going to make a thrilling sound – I expect the audience to be blown away by it.”

The concert starts at 3pm. Tickets are £10 or £3 for under 21s.
