A53 near Market Drayton shut as biker injured in crash
A major road was closed as two patients were taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a motorbike.
The A53 between Tern Hill and Hodnet, near Market Drayton, was closed in both directions after a man and a woman were treated for minor injuries following a crash at around 3.50pm today.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 3:50pm to reports of an RTC involving a car and motorbike on the A53 in Market Drayton.
"We sent one ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene. We’ve treated a man, who was the motorcyclist for minor injuries and taken him to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further treatment.
"We’ve also treated a woman for minor injuries. She’s also been taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.”
Police were also at the scene.
