More than a dozen vehicles arrived at the Towers Lawn car park in central Market Drayton yesterday morning, and they have been asked by the county council to move along by tomorrow.

Town mayor and county councillor Roy Aldcroft said: "Travellers at Towers Lawn car park have now been served notice to leave by November 5.

"Their appearance at the car park on the last market day before lockdown has seriously affected parking for many potential customers to town shops and the market."
