Tractor fire near Market Drayton believed to be accidental
Firefighters have confirmed that a fire involving a tractor in a Shropshire field is believed to have been an accident.
Crews from Market Drayton and Hodnet helped deal with a tractor on fire in a field near Wollerton on Tuesday evening.
The tractor and an attached farming implement were engulfed in flames, and the fire service had to use an off-road vehicle to get to the scene.
A statement from Market Drayton's fire station crew said: "Unfortunately the tractor has been severely damaged by fire.
"We are pleased to report that there were no persons injured at this incident, the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental resulting from either an electrical or mechanical defect."
