'Massive thank you to the people of Market Drayton' after carnival success
Organisers of Market Drayton Carnival have given a "massive thank you" to people for turning out - and to the 'weather gods' for holding off during the parade.
This year's carnival saw the crowds lining the route of a parade of floats from The Grove School through the town, and street stalls on Cheshire Street.
A spokesperson for the organising committee said: "Well what can we say - it has been the most amazing day.
"The positive feedback we have received already has made all the stress worthwhile.
"From the committee members - we just want to say a massive thank you to the people of Market Drayton for coming out to support and the weather gods for holding off the rain and thunder during the parade!
"Thank you to all our amazing floats and walking group entrants."
