Market Drayton mum to represent Great Britain in distance triathlon this autumn

Alice Glover, from Market Drayton, will be taking on the Age Group 2023 Standard Distance Triathlon World Championships as part of the GB Team this September.

The triathlon comprises of a 1,500m open water swim, 40km bike ride and a 10km run taking place in Pontevedra in Spain.

Alice is currently juggling training with her job as a senior clinical nurse for oncology, haematology and chemotherapy and being a mum to her seven-year-old daughter Meredith.

The 35-year-old mother of one said: "Training is hard. I love all elements of it, but I have increased my training a lot in preparation for September.
