Burst water pipe closes A41 dual carriageway near Whitchurch
One of Shropshire's main trunk roads had to be closed on Wednesday after a water main burst.
Police closed the A41 at Prees Heath dual carriageway, just off the roundabout with the A49, on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers diverted traffic while Severn Trent Water engineers worked on site.
By 9pm just one lane northbound from the Midway Truck Stop at the Prees Heath roundabout to the Tilstock turn off was closed.
The traffic heading north towards Whitchurch was backed up along the route.
