Wem man, 38, found dead in Kathmandu hotel, inquest told
A Nepalese police investigation into the death of a Shropshire man in Kathmandu has concluded, an inquest heard.
James Robert Wells, 38, from Wem, was found dead in his hotel room on February 10, 2017.
Doctors in Nepal gave the cause of death as probable acute diarrhoea with severe dehydration.
However, this has not been accepted by senior coroner for Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, John Ellery.
He said: "We do not have an acceptable cause of death. All we know is that he was in a locked hotel room."
The inquest has been adjourned until Thursday for more evidence where Mr Ellery expects to give his formal conclusion.
