Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in Shropshire A49 crash
A motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash on the A49 in Shropshire.
Police are now calling for witnesses to the crash on the A49 in Prees Green, between Shrewsbury and Whitchurch, on Thursday.
The crash happened at about 6.50pm and involved a grey Nissan Qashqai, travelling towards Shrewsbury, and a black Kawasaki ZX6-R motorbike, which was being ridden towards Whitchurch.
Officers say the two vehicles are understood to have crashed at the turning for the junction of the B5065 to Wem.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, suffered serious injuries to his chest, arm, leg and pelvis and was taken to hospital.
The driver of the Nissan Qashqai was uninjured.
Shropshire Fire Service was also called to the crash to deal with a fuel spillage following the collision.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident and would like to speak with people who saw the vehicles and the manner in which they were being driven prior to the collision.
