Sheep rescued from brook near Whitchurch
A sheep trapped in a brook was rescued by firefighters this morning.
The poor animal became stuck in a foot and a half of standing water in the village of Whixall, near Whitchurch today.
A fire crew from Prees attended soon after 9am and used waders and life jackets to get to the sheep.
They used a sling and rope system to lift the animal free.
