Fire crews use cutting equipment to free person from crash

One person needed freeing from a car after a two vehicle crash.

Four fire crews were sent to the scene of the crash

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said it had sent four crews to the scene of the crash, at Alkington Road in Whitchurch.

They said they had been alerted to the incident involving "two saloon vehicles" at around 6.26pm.

Crews attended from Market Drayton, Wellington, and Whitchurch and cutting equipment was used to free one person who was trapped in a vehicle.

There has been no confirmation on the severity of the injuries suffered in the crash.
