Whitchurch firefighters rescue man trapped in brook
Firefighters helped rescue a man trapped in a brook in Whitchurch.
A fire crew from Whitchurch were dispatched on Saturday morning to help free a man trapped in the water.
The incident happened at around 11.40am on Clayton Drive on the outskirts of the market town.
Upon arrival, the crew helped free the man from the brook.
A spokesperson said: "Fire crews assisted a male trapped in a brook, no equipment used and crews assisted back to safety."
It is not yet clear if the man was injured in the incident and the ambulance service has been approached for comment.
