Three fire crews tackle Oswestry house fire

Three fire crews tackled a house fire which involved a domestic oil tank near Oswestry.

Firefighters from Baschurch, Ellesmere and Oswestry were sent to the scene in Briarbank, Trefonen, just before 10.10pm last night.

The crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to tackle the fire which involved a domestic oil tank, the property roof and roof voids. The roof voids were destroyed by the fire.

A spokeswoman said fire investigation were at the scene this morning to ascertain how the fire started.
