Two men injured in crash which closed A483 at Oswestry for five hours

Police are investigating a crash that saw two 18-year-old men injured when a car hit a kerb and end up in a nearby field.

It happened on the A483 Llynclys to Pant road near Oswestry at 2.10am on Saturday and involved a blue Land Rover Discovery.

The vehicle is understood to have hit the kerb, left the carriageway, collided and ended up in a field.

The passenger and the driver of the Land Rover - both 18-year-old men - suffered injuries that were not believed to be life-changing.

The road was closed in both directions between the A495 at Llynclys and the B4398 at Pant for over five hours.

Enquiries are ongoing but police would like to speak with any witnesses to the incident or people who saw the vehicle and the manner in which it was being driven prior to the collision.
