The British Ironwork Centre is awaiting news of when its retrospective application for permission for its tourism and retail activities on land south of Oswestry will be decided by Shropshire Council.
Centre chairman Clive Knowles said it was proving difficult to keep sustaining the high standards at the centre when it was unable to do work such as toilet improvements.
"We want to provide quality facilities and the toilets are absolutely essential," he said.
"The planning process which started in 2015 was derailed in 2017, resulting in Shropshire Council insisting that the previous application was withdrawn and a new application resubmitted a this year."
He said support had come from across the country.
