Shropshire's Knife Angel set to leave Liverpool in move to Hull
Shropshire's Knife Angel is set to leave Liverpool at the end of the month after being seen by thousands of people since it was installed in November.
Alfie Bradley's creation, which was built at the British Ironwork Centre near Oswestry two-and-a-half years ago, is now due to head to Hull.
The sculpture was taken to Liverpool at the end of November to raise awareness of knife crime in the area.
It was placed outside the Liverpool Cathedral, with a host of knife crime awareness events taking place over the festive period with affected families.
Over recent weeks it has attracted thousands of people to Liverpool to visit it and have photographs taken alongside it.
Hundreds of pictures and messages have been posted on Twitter, with Emma Powell recently posting: "#knifeangel #knifefree Taking time to think about all those whose lives have been damaged by knife crime. Praying that we can teach our young people that these weapons only bring damage and destruction."
It was revealed last month that the angel would now move on to Hull after a bid was launched by a delegation, but details of that move are yet to be released.
