The Venue, at Park Hall, near Oswestry, has not only a football ground but a cafe bar and restaurant, soft play centre and an eight-lane bowling alley, as well as a function and fitness suite.

Owner Mike Harris said he would like to bring into someone from outside to run the entertainment venue allowing TNS to concentrate on football.

Agent, Sydney Phillips, is marketing The Venue as an opportunity for a successful operator to trade alongside the football club.

Ceiron Griffiths, from Sydney Phillips, said: "Our client wants to attract an experienced and successful operator within the entertainment and functions sector to take over part of the running of this very successful business.

"It would be run in tandem with the football club taking advantage of the constant level of trade this provides, but also developing further the entertainment element."

He said an operator may want to take all or part of the entertainment and catering facilities.

"Not only are the facilities first-class, but it also has the added benefit of the football club being attached which provides a constant level of trade to the cafe bar due to the large number of teams, clubs and internal leagues that operate from The Venue throughout the year.

"Our clients are not specialists in operating this type of venue and therefore see an opportunity for an experienced operator to take advantage of the first-class facilities and drive the business forward under an expert eye."

Mr Harris, who opened The Venue in 2007, said: "We are not selling The Venue just evaluating options on how best to operate it."
