Child freed from car by firefighters

Firefighters showed their caring role in two calls-outs yesterday .

A crew from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service's Telford Central station was called out when a young child was accidentally locked inside a car on Holyhead Road, Oakengates.

The driver called for help just before 2pm and the child was successfully freed by 2.36pm.

In Oswestry the local crew used special, ring cutters to remove a ring from a person's hand in a 15 minute operation at the fire station just after 11am.
