Man airlifted with serious injuries after accident at Chirk AAA sports ground
A man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries today after an accident at the Chirk AAA sports ground.
The man was injured at the ground on Holyhead Road, Chirk, just after 10.30am.
It is believed he may have been using cutting equipment although that has not been confirmed.
Welsh Air Ambulance said that it sent an air ambulance to the scene and that a man was airlifted to Wrexham Maelor Hospital with serious injuries.
Communications officer, Liam Randall said it appeared the injuries were accidental.
The Chirk AAAs complex includes a recreation ground with football pitches and playground and a sports and social club.
