Man taken to hospital with head injury after incident at Kronospan
A man has been taken to hospital following an incident at a factory in Chirk.
An air ambulance was scrambled to the Kronospan site on Holyhead Road in the town at 9.20am today, along with a land ambulance after a worker suffered a head injury
After assessing the situation, a man was taken by road to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
A spokeswoman for the factory, which makes wood based panels, said that there had been a call for an ambulance to attend to an employee who had received a head injury.
The local ambulance crew asked for the air ambulance as a precautionary measure, however, the employee was later taken by road ambulance to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
A spokeswoman for Kronospan said: "His family have been informed, and an investigation into the cause has been started."
