Firm goes to aid of pre-school
Wood panel manufacturer Kronospan has made a financial donation to Chirk Pre- School playgroup to help out with their running costs.
Llinos Jones who is the group’s leader contacted Kronospan asking for help.
She said, “The Pre-School started over 40 years ago and it would be a huge loss to the community if we couldn’t keep going. Many of the children in Chirk began their education
here in the hall where we are based. So I am very grateful to Kronospan for their generous donation which will be a big help with keeping the Pre-School going.
"The children have a lovely, happy time and it is such a good way for them to start their learning skills in life. But as a non-profit group we are always looking for extra help with funding as everything becomes more expensive.”
At the moment there are 16 children aged two to four years old who attend the pre-school which is run at the Chirk Town Hall from Monday to Thursday from 9-11:30 am.
Kronospan Chairman Mike McKenna said, “We are delighted to help the children in Chirk Pre-School with a financial boost especially at this time of year. Pre-School is good way to start early learning as well as build essential social skills that come with mixing with other
children.”
