New screens for Chirk school
Children at Chirk primary school have had their old classroom projectors placed with high definition screens.
Chirk based wood panel manufacturer Kronospan has put the 65 inch high definition screens in every classroom at Ysgol Y Waun.
Head teacher, John Roberts, contacted Kronospan asking for help in purchasing the new screens as the old classroom projectors had come to the end of their life and were getting increasingly expensive to maintain.
John Roberts said, “We are really excited to have the latest technology here in Chirk and want to thank Kronospan for their financial support which has made the project possible. The children will benefit hugely from the new screens as the picture quality is really good because they are High Definition. They will play a vital part in the teaching curriculum and although they have only just been installed the children already love them.”
He said the new screens deliver a very sharp picture and since they can be linked to all computers laptops and touchpads, and added they are also an essential part of the children’s learning experience.

"Last year we gave the older children 30 new Chromebook laptops so it was time to help the younger children with these large screens. They look really good and will make the learning process exciting and accessible to all the children.”
