Crews tackle fire at Kronospan factory - with video
Fire crews were this afternoon tackling a blaze at Chirk's Kronospan factory.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the wood-based panels manufacturer at around 11.15am this morning, as black smoke filled the area in the town.
Firefighters from Chirk and Llangollen attended at the scene, and a spokeswoman for Kronospan has said the fire was now under control.
A Twitter account Clean Air For Chirk has posted a number of photographs and videos of the fire.
One tweet said: "They are on fire yet again. Enough is enough.
"A follow up tweet confirmed no one had been hurt: "You can see the flames. Hope no one is hurt. But time they where brought under control."
A spokeswoman for the company said no one was injured and an investigation is underway.
She said: "There was a fire this morning that was confined to a conveyor belt on top of a silo.
"The fire was quickly brought under control and the local authority fire brigade attended.
"The cause of the fire has not yet been established and investigations continue.
"No one was injured."
