Trees in Shropshire market town centre could be removed after roots create trip hazards
Four trees in Ellesmere town centre could be felled after a council said worsening root damage is making the area unsafe for pedestrians.

Famed for the Mere lake, the market town of Ellesmere has numerous Georgian and half-timbered buildings surrounding the medieval streets. Ellesmere's shops are many and varied, with a host of individual and independent shops.
