Ellesmere fire: Crews tackle woodchip blaze at Tudor Griffiths site
A fire has broke out at a building supplies site in Ellesmere sending smoke and flames into the air.
Six crews were called to the Tudor Griffiths site, in Wood Lane, to deal with the fire involving two industrial machines and recycled wood and chippings.
Crews from Baschurch, Ellesmere, Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Wem and Whitchurch were called.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet and main jet to deal with the blaze, which started about 6.30pm.
Crews have remained at the scene overnight and are on site today.
