Car veers off road and hits tree near Ellesmere
Emergency services rescued two people after a car veered off the road and hit a tree near Ellesmere.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service is warning drivers to take care on wet and greasy roads following the crash.
Crews were called to the A528 at Cockshutt, shortly before 6pm on Thursday.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a car that had crashed into a tree. We sent two ambulances and a paramedic officer to the scene.
"There was two patients. The first was a girl who managed to get herself out of the car. She was treated for her injuries and taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
"The driver of the car was a man. He was also treated for minor injuries and discharged at the scene."
