Firefighters help rescue two bullocks from slurry pit using tractor
Two bullocks had to be rescued after getting stuck in a slurry pit on a farm just outside Ellesmere.
Firefighters from Ellesmere, Oswestry and Wellington responded to a call for help just before 8.30am on Friday.
They went to the property at Hampton Wood where they found two large bullocks stuck in the pit.
Also at the scene was a vet.
A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said the bullocks were safely rescued using a farm tractor and strops, with veterinary supervision. The operation took until 10am.
