Tattoo artist working to give breast cancer survivors their confidence back through body art
A Shropshire tattoo artist is offering specialised treatment to breast cancer survivors and those who have scars from burns or operations to "give people their confidence back".
Working in tandem with a national charity, Kaz Slocombe can do post-mastectomy tattooing for those who have lost their areola/nipple due to breast cancer.
The artist is opening her new Vibes Tattoo Studio in Ellesmere at the beginning of September and is urging those struggling with their confidence post-surgery to get in touch.
The specialised interest began when a client she hadn't seen for a few years asked her to tattoo her nipples back on after her mastectomy.
"I wasn't comfortable as I hadn't had the training but said I would find someone for her. It was only then I realised how few people offered such a service," she said.
