Fire service called to car blaze

The fire service were called out to deal with a blaze involving a car.

The incident took place shortly before 9.30pm.

The incident took place at New Marton near Ellesmere, with Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service receiving a call about the fire at around 9.20pm yesterday.

One crew from Ellesmere was sent to the scene and discovered a saloon car on fire.

They wore breathing equipment while they used hoses to put the blaze out.

The incident was declared over at 9.53pm.
