Bogus gardener steals cash
A conman pretending to be a gardener has stolen cash from two homes after walking in uninvited.
Both offences took place on Saturday.
Police say that between noon and 2pm a man walked into a bungalow in St Martins and stole cash from a drawer.
Officers say that at the same time a man aged between 25-30 with dark hair and wearing denim had been going door-to-door asking about gardening.
Later in the afternoon a man walked into a house in Railway Terrace, Ellesmere while the householders were at home.
He asked if any gardening was required and took cash from a bedroom.
