Company defibrillator available for St Martins community
A village firm has installed a defibrillator at its headquarters and say its trained staff will be on standby to help anyone in the community in a cardiac emergency.
Ridgeway Rentals in St Martins a vehicle hire company, has registered the defibrillator as part of a national network and linked up with West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Its managing director, Stuart Jones, said he hoped the equipment would never have to be used.
And he said that as well as being installed for employees, the company's fully trained first aid staff would be available to help the local community during opening hours.
"The local area and general public will have the benefit of this. While we hope we never have to use it, it is re-assuring to know that we have one here."
