Unattended food causes fire at flat
A flat in Shrewsbury was filled with smoke after the owner left food unattended on the cooker and it caught fire.
Two fire engines from Shrewsbury raced to the first floor flat on Torrin Drive, Radbrook after reports came in that a fire had broken out at just after 1.40pm today.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus, a hosereel jet and positive pressure ventilation to deal with the incident and spent just over half an hour at the scene.
