University Centre Shrewsbury talk takes timely look at French politics
In the light of the recent victory for Emmanuel Macron in the race for the French presidency, a talk at 1pm on May 17 will explore key political debates that have put France in the global spotlight.
In ‘From Battlefield to Burkini: A Journey into Franco-African History’, Professor Claire Griffiths will invite the audience to travel back through four centuries of French history in Africa to examine the roots of France’s role in today’s world.
