Showgoers urged to use diversions
Organisers of Shropshire County Show which takes place in Shrewsbury this weekend are urging visitors to follow the official route to the showground to avoid traffic using the town centre.
Thousands of people are expected at the county show, which takes place at the Greenhous West Mid Showground in Berwick Road on Saturday.
Sunny weather is predicted for the bank holiday weekend, and with the Let's Rock concert, also taking place in Shrewsbury on Saturday, organisers are doing their best to manage traffic.
Signs are being put in place around Shrewsbury to direct traffic around the ring road at Battlefield, across the Ellesmere Road roundabout towards Bomere Heath, then across to Berwick Road so people will approach the showground from the north.
Show organisers hope the signed route will keep traffic out of the town centre and keep disruption to a minimum.
