Motorcyclist killed in crash near Shrewsbury is named
A motorcyclist who died in an accident in a crash near Shrewsbury has been named.
Adrian John Bolton, 53, of Daventry, Northamptonshire, died following an accident on the B4386 Yockleton near to Lynches Bridge on Saturday.
He suffered head injuries in the crash which happened at around 9.50am.
Mr Bolton was on a BMW bike with a sidecar, which crashed with a Fiat Panda travelling towards Yockleton.
Paying tribute, his family said: "Adrian - known as Ady to his friends and family - was a life-long classic motorbike enthusiast, devoted husband, father and granddad who will be sorely missed."
The family have asked that their privacy be respected at this time.
Laura Maltby of West Mercia Police said they were looking for any witnesses to the crash.
She said: "A Fiat Panda was travelling towards Yockleton and a BMW motorbike and sidecar was being ridden in the opposite direction when the two vehicles collided. A Ford Galaxy was damaged by debris from the collision.
"The rider of the motorbike, a man in his 50s, suffered head injuries and later died. His next of kin have been informed.
"Officers are keen to speak with anyone who saw the incident, who saw the vehicles and the manner in which they were being driven prior to the collision."
Mr Bolton was married and had three children.
He worked for Alimak Hek, a supplier of mast climbing equipment, as global product manager and had also been vice chairman of the IPAF International Mast Climbing Work Platform Committee.
A spokesman for the company said: "Over the years he has played an important role in the mast climbing and hoist industry, and was vice chairman of the IPAF International Mast Climbing Work Platform committee. He was also convenor of the CEN Working Group WG 4. CEN/TC 10 which created the European standard for transport platforms."

An inquest in to the death of Mr Bolton will be opened at the Shirehall, Shrewsbury on July 4.
