Royston Blythe, which is on St Mary's Street, scooped the L’Oréal Colour Trophy North West Award 2017 – at one of the hairdressing industry’s most prestigious events, the 2017 L'Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final.

Earlier this month, the salon’s creative six-month journey came to a head at Battersea Evolution, London. Over 1000 of the hairdressing industry's most acclaimed and famous figures saw Nicholas Tucker and Jade Stephenson from Royston Blythe, Shrewsbury collect their award – The L'Oréal Colour Trophy. It is the second time the salon has won the award.

TV and radio presenter Nick Grimshaw and Chris Williams from RUSH handed the team their award.

“To win this award for the second year running was amazing. We are so passionate about hair and our creative work and it means so much when it is recognised at such a high level and against the most amazing talent in the UK," said Nicholas.

"The colour trophy has been an incredible journey and we are so very lucky to have the support and encouragement from Nick and Royston who are constantly motivating us to achieve and progress in our hairdressing careers. Our clients are delighted with this result and the whole salon is buzzing – we are already thinking about next year,” added Jade.

The salon has a number of celebrities on its books including Katie Price, Poppy Delevigne and Amy Childs.
