Four rides on offer with cycling group

Cycling UK Shropshire has four rides on offer from Shrewsbury this coming week, two of which are on Sunday.

One is a hilly ride to the Long Mynd Gliding Club and this will be about 55 miles in length, riding at an average speed of about 11 mph, with a pub or café stop for lunch. The other ride on Sunday will be to a mystery destination to be chosen on the day, with a picnic lunch along the way, and this will be about 40 miles in length, riding at an average speed of about 9 mph. Both rides start at 9.30am from The Square.

On July 18, there is a hilly ride to Much Wenlock and this will be about 40 miles in length, riding at an average speed of about 10 mph, with a cafe stop for lunch. The ride starts at 10am and cyclists should meet under Greyfriars Bridge in The Quarry.

On July 20 there is a ride to Wem and this will be about 40 miles in length, riding at an average speed of about 10 mph, with a pub stop for lunch. The ride starts at 10am and cyclists should meet under Greyfriars Bridge in The Quarry.
