Subway, on Claremont Street, created the jobs with the launch of its new delivery service.

The jobs range from sandwich artists and drivers to supervisors and back of house staff and the franchise is growing from strength to strength.

Managing director, Mike Gries, said: “Following the phenomenal response to the launch of our new delivery service last month, I am pleased to report that we have 10 new roles on offer.

“The new roles will help grow the delivery side of the business, allowing us to offer delivery on more days and later into the night. "we have been working alongside the job centre and a local charity to fill the positions."

Subway has four outlets in the town and the delivery service means that those living within a three and a half mile radius of the town centre can enjoy a sub from the comfort of their own home.
