Moo-ve out of the way! Bullock stops rush hour traffic on Shrewsbury town centre bridge
It's normally a busy entrance to Shrewsbury town centre - but this morning the Kingsland Bridge had a rather unusual visitor as a runaway bullock stopped rush hour traffic.
The brown and white bullock, described by police as 'long horned' made its sedate way across the bridge at just after 7am.
Police were quick to the scene and herded the animal back to the field it had escaped from. It is believed it had made its dash for freedom overnight.
Motorist Rachel Ball was one of the first to spot the bullock.
She said: "It seems Kingsland Bridge has a new toll collector. Rumours go that you pay a carrot instead of 20p. Police have been notified."
