Woman found dead after crash near Wroxeter Roman ruins
A woman was found dead after her car was discovered in a field near the Wroxeter Roman ruins this morning.
The car was discovered at about 5.05am today, off the B4380 near Shrewsbury, although police are unsure when the crash happened.
Officers believe it was a single vehicle crash, but would like anybody who saw anything to come forward.
The incident led to the closure of the B4380 and B4394, with police advising motorist to avoid the area, although visitors were able to make their way to the Wroxeter Roman City site.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call 101 and quote incident 69s of August 21 2017.
