Inquest opens into death of woman, 28, near Wroxeter Roman ruins

An inquest has opened into the death of a woman who was found near her car in a field near the Wroxeter Roman ruins on the outskirts of Shrewsbury.

Stacey Jennifer Neal, 28, from Shrewsbury, died on August 21 at Wroxeter alongside the B4380.

Coroners officer Michael Homden said that at 5.07am on August 21, police were called to reports of a vehicle in one of the fields following what a road traffic collision.

Officers found the body of a female outside vehicle, and the body was identified at 10.05am by her brother.

The inquest was opened at Shirehall by the assistant coroner for Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, Heath Westerman, and adjourned until December 14.
