Great North Run 2017: Shropshire TV chef Marcus Bean runs alongside Davina McCall
Shropshire TV chef Marcus Bean ran the Great North Run alongside Davina McCall.
Marcus, who owns the Brompton Cookery School in Atcham, joined his celebrity running partner in Newcastle alongside some 57,000 other runners.
Starting in Newcastle upon Tyne Marcus and TV presenter Davina ran the 13.1 mile route through the city centre towards the River Tyne where they crossed over the iconic Tyne Bridge.
From there they travelled through Gateshead to South Shields where they hit the home straight and crossed the finish line.
Before the race Davina said they were "buzzing" and that the atmosphere in the city was "electric".
It was a busy weekend for Marcus. He hot footed it tot he North East after appearing at Ludlow Food Festival on Saturday.
