Delays after car hits central barrier on A5 near Shrewsbury
Motorists were hit by delays today after a car crashed into the central reservation on the A5 near Shrewsbury.
Traffic was moving slowly between the Emstrey and Dobbies roundabout after the incident this afternoon involving a Jaguar.
West Mercia Police partially closed one lane while the vehicle was recovered, but the road remained open.
Police spokesman Kieren Bodill said: "At approximately 2.30pm today, West Mercia Police received a report of a single-vehicle collision on the A5.
"The incident involved a grey Jaguar X-type that has left the carriage way and collided with a barrier on the A5 between Dobbies and Emstrey."
The driver was treated by the ambulance service.
The road was fully reopened just before 4pm.
