Traffic was moving slowly between the Emstrey and Dobbies roundabout after the incident this afternoon involving a Jaguar.

West Mercia Police partially closed one lane while the vehicle was recovered, but the road remained open.

Police spokesman Kieren Bodill said: "At approximately 2.30pm today, West Mercia Police received a report of a single-vehicle collision on the A5.

"The incident involved a grey Jaguar X-type that has left the carriage way and collided with a barrier on the A5 between Dobbies and Emstrey."

The driver was treated by the ambulance service.

The road was fully reopened just before 4pm.
