Woman rescued from River Severn in Shrewsbury
Emergency services were called to two more reports of people in the River Severn in Shrewsbury.
A distressed woman was rescued from the river at Frankwell, shortly after 1.30pm on Saturday.
West Mercia Police attended and she was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for treatment.
On Sunday, police received reports that a man had jumped into the river at Smithfield Road but no-one was found.
Inspector Ed Hancox from Shrewsbury Police said: "Officers and Shropshire Fire and Rescue attended, as did the police helicopter.
"A full search was carried out, but following enquiries through CCTV and witnesses, we have established that no one actually entered the river itself. There are no missing persons reported at this time, and no further searches will take place."
It comes after two people were rescued from the river on February 21 within the space of three hours.
