Man rescued after getting trapped in bridge railings
Firefighters were called to an unusual rescue in the early hours of the morning after a man became trapped in a bridge by his legs.
Fire, ambulance and police were called to Kingsland Bridge in Shrewsbury after a member of the public called them at just gone midnight to say that the man was stuck in the railings.
Using Holmatro cutting equipment, firefighters worked for 15 minutes to free the man who was then left in the care of the ambulance service.
It is unknown whether he sustained any injuries.
