Shrewsbury town centre roads to close for resurfacing work
The main traffic route through Shrewsbury's town centre will be closed overnight for three nights while resurfacing work is carried out.
Castle Street and St Mary’s Street will be shut to traffic from 8pm to 6am from Tuesday, August 14.
It is estimated that the work will take three nights to complete.
The work is being carried out as part of the Shrewsbury Integrated Transport Package (SITP).
The road will be closed from Castle Gates at the junction with Smithfield Road, with a signed diversion route in place.
During the closure access will be maintained to residents and businesses only – an access route will be provided via Windsor Place, with the one-way being reversed.
The work is weather dependant and may be subject to unforeseen delay and date changes.
