Three weeks of repairs start at Shrewsbury multi-storey car park

Work to repair the barriers at Shrewsbury's Raven Meadows multi-storey car park will begin tomorrow after Shropshire Council was forced to shut about 200 spaces for safety reasons.

The authority has now appointed a contractor to carry out the work.

Hundreds of spaces on the outer edges of levels two to nine were cordoned off in November following an inspection which revealed the barriers were unsafe.

As each section of work is completed, that area will be immediately reopened, meaning spaces will be made available as work progresses.

It expected to take three weeks to complete.
