Bridge in Shrewsbury blocked off after alarm raised
Emergency services blocked off a bridge in Shrewsbury today after concerns were raised about the safety of a man.
English Bridge was partially blocked for just over an hour this afternoon.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service were called shortly after 3.30pm and sent four crews from Shrewsbury and Wellington, including the water rescue unit.
A spokeswoman said the crews were on stand-by for an hour but were stood down.
West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
