An ambulance was called to the aid of Tyler James Oliver Pryor, who had suffered a cardiac arrest at an address on Sparrow Lane, Shrewsbury, on November 12 last year.

He was pronounced dead, and police ruled the death not to be suspicious.

Explaining the circumstances at an inquest at Shirehall on Wednesday, coroner John Ellery said Mr Pryor had gone with a friend to buy drugs in Shrewsbury town centre that afternoon.

He went to Sparrow Lane with his friend Kyle Brennan, where they smoked the drug and fell asleep.

Mr Brennan woke at 9pm to offer his friend a drink, before waking again at 2.30am when he phoned an ambulance.

A cause of death was given following a post mortem as drug toxicity.

Mr Ellery said Mr Pryor's mother had a number of concerns about the care he was receiving from Shropshire Recovery Service, and other organisations, but he said those concerns fell outside the scope of the inquest.

She said she felt her son was done a great injustice by agencies, but Mr Ellery had to cut her short and reiterated that it wasn't within his remit.

He recorded a conclusion of a drug-related death.
